About the Conference MendelNet 2014

Conference proceedings fromMendelNet 2010 and 2011 have successfully passed the exacting criteria of Thomson Reuters and have been included in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index, accessed via Web of Science Core Collection.

It is a tradition that the MendelNet Conference for undergraduate and postgraduate students is hosted by Agronomy faculty in the end of the year. From the first year, in 1996, it went by considerable progress reflected faculty life and events. Probably the most important change of the conference image is gradual increases of the sections number, connected with the implementation of new courses. Recently, increased number of the participants is welcomed, from our University, from partner universities in the Czech Republic and from abroad, respectively.

However, the aims and the misson of the Conference continue. It is provided the presentations in face of their colleagues, the scientific commissions. The students acquire the experiences with active presentation and defence of the results obtained from research on diploma and doctoral thesis. The discussions among the participants and the students are very valuable because it is the best training procedure for proper thesis in face of the commission. The MendelNet 2014 Conference is an ideal form for scientific survey acquirement in given specialization.

Therefore, in the name of the Organizing Committee, allow me to invite you for participation at the MendelNet 2014 Conference and at the same time I want to wish you creative atmosphere at paper preparation. Conference MendelNet 2014 is held on 19th and 20th November 2014 in MENDELU Brno.
